About

The purposes of this organization is to provide educational assistance to the general public in cross - cultural education and understanding.
　　The goals are :
( a ) Assist overseas Japanese families acculturating to America life by providing orientation, guidance education counseling, seminars and community information etc. Also to provide opportunities to learn about American culture and to become involved in community activities.
( b ) Promote cross - cultural communication and mutual understanding among overseas Japanese, American educators and the local community by :1 ) providing volunteer translators and Japanese Cultural Arts experts to the educational community.
2 ) conducting forums, workshops, field trips, seminars, special events etc.
3 ) providing information regarding Japan and Japanese Culture.
4 ) promoting and supporting Japanese cultural events.
ミッション ステートメント　
この団体の使命は異文化理解教育を促進し、相互理解を深めるための教育的事業を行うことである。その活動として ：

（ａ）渡米した日本人家庭がアメリカ生活に慣れ、地域社会にとけこめるよう、オリエンテーション、教育相談、セミナーなどを主催し、教育情報、生活情報、地域社会の情報を提供する。さらに、アメリカの風俗習慣を知らせる場を提供するため、地域社会の行事やボランティア活動に参加する機会をあたえる。

（ｂ）アメリカの教育界、地域社会と日本人家族との間の相互理解と意思疎通を促進し、地域融和をはかる。

その方法として ：

１） 通訳、翻訳、日本文化の専門技術・知識（茶道、華道、折り紙、書道、日本音楽、日本舞踊、日本料理）等をボランティアによって教育界に提供する。
２）フォーラム、ワークショップ、見学会、特別行事などを主催する。
３）日本、及び日本文化に関する資料、情報を提供する。
４）日本文化紹介のための行事を振興、援助する。
